Although the image of his band Aiden could be considered to be quite dark, vocalist wiL sports some mighty colorful ink. When asked which artist puts the needle to the skin most artistically, wiL repiles "His name is Damon Conklin, we works for a tattoo shop called Supergenius Tattoo and he fucking rules." The singer considers himself to be a tattoo "collector", citing an ink shop in his hometown as being one that he?s most partial to.
wiL sports a particularly vibrant piece on his neck, "It's like an old-school rocketship with one of those 1940's, '50's shark faces painted on it." he explains. Surrounded by brightly covered flames and blue smoke, it's one of his most noticeable and visually intriguing tats. One piece that particularly stands out is the heavily black-lined Crimson Ghost that graces the frontman's forearm. "Shit yeah, I've got a Misfits tattoo", he states proudly. Below the highly recognizable image, a red shield bearing the group's moniker, surrounding a bi-color crest of fire stands out starkly. Obviously wiL is quite fond of skulls, the singer sports one on his hand as well; this blue-green hued epidermal imprint is accented with eye-catching shading, proudly bearing a golden tooth. Of one of his more extensive pieces, wiL says "I've got this really gnarly fucking skull that's coming out of my muscle, out of the tissue. It's been in a bunch of magazines and shit." The piece, which extends down the singer's shoulder to his forearm takes up the majority of his upper arm and is a visually striking representation. Across his fingers reads "Live Fast", a reference to a time in the young vocalist's life when he was quite enamored with a reckless, partying lifestyle. Although those days have past for him, wiL continues to live on the edge, but these days, it's the horror punk music of Aiden that?s providing thrills for the singer as the band takes it's high-energy gloom and doom to metal fans across the United States. Aiden's "Nightmare Anatomy" is available in stores now.
